Oceanside CA— Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has received a $19,599 grant from Las Patronas for our Back2School program. Support from Las Patronas has allowed the Club to purchase much-needed equipment including computers, handwashing stations, and flex seating.
The Back2School program provides the wrap-around support needed for at-risk youth to succeed academically while attending virtual classes. BGCO provides youth in the Back2School program with a quiet, supervised environment to focus on classwork, high-speed internet access, academic support, nutritious lunches, and daily fitness and recreation.
“We are so incredibly grateful for Las Patronas’ support. Many of our youth are unable to afford the equipment needed to successfully participate in virtual learning. Items purchased with Las Patronas funding ensure that they have the resources they need to succeed academically under these extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances,” said Jodi Diamond, CEO.
