San Diego CA— Foundation for Women Warriors announced today that they received a $20,000 grant from the San Diego Woman’s Club, helping to further their mission of supporting women veterans and their families.
Jodie Grenier, CEO of Foundation for Women Warriors, shares, “70% of the women veterans we serve are single parents, and many are without family in the area. We are so grateful to the San Diego Woman’s Club for their donation so that we can continue to rapidly respond to the needs of our veteran moms and their children ensuring that a lack of family in the area does not mean a lack of support.
San Diego Woman’s Club (SDWC) is affiliated with the California Federation of Women’s Clubs (CFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service with the primary purpose of carrying out charitable service, providing leadership opportunities, and enriching the lives of members through personal growth.
Foundation for Women Warriors’ mission is to serve female veterans and their children so that their next mission is clear and continues to impact the world. FFWW is the only organization in California solely focused on serving women veterans and their families. Their programs enhance the personal and economic wellbeing of women veterans and address the growing needs of the increasing population of military women transitioning to civilian life.
