San Diegans and commuters will be encouraged to donate to raise funds for foster children this holiday season
San Diego CA— Promises2Kids, a Charity Navigator, Four-Star-approved non-profit organization celebrating its 40th anniversary of creating a brighter future for foster children®, will hold its city-wide Give from Your Heart Giving Day on Saturday, December 18, from 10am-12pm and from 1pm-3pm. San Diegans and commuters will be encouraged to donate to raise funds and awareness for foster youth this holiday season.
As part of the Give from Your Heart Giving Day, Promises2Kids will station approximately 50 volunteers dressed in red in high traffic locations including Mission Valley, UTC, La Jolla Village, Chula Vista and La Mesa with a collective campaign goal of raising $20,000 in cash donations from individuals and businesses. Volunteers will be easily identifiable by their red attire, large heart-shaped signs, and collection bins for cash donations.
Those who would like to support San Diego’s foster youth on the Give from Your Heart Giving Day can do so by dropping any amount of currency into the heart-shaped collection boxes, or by texting PROMISES to 707070. No donation is too large or too small.
