2017 marks the 21th anniversary of the founding of the Guild and the first Gourd and Basket Weekend in the Garden. At that first event, we honored Misti Washington, for whom our Guild is named, at which time many people were able to tell her how much they appreciated her, her teaching, and the creative stimulation and encouragement she had given them. We carry on her legacy through this a biennial conference.
