San Diego CA— To build on the conversation about our region’s future housing needs, the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF) will host Context Volume 4: Neighborhoods 2027 (CV4) on June 6, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. CV4 will focus on housing typologies that will improve the quality of life for existing homeowners while maintaining the economic vitality of our growing region. The conference will start with a reception from 5:15-6:45 p.m. followed by the main presentation from 7-9 p.m.
CV4 will convene a panel of distinguished, nationally-recognized architects and urbanists to show that medium density infill strategies can help address the housing crisis and also enhance the lifestyles of residents in what are now predominantly single-family neighborhoods. Scheduled to be held at Green Acre Campus Pointe, a Brian Malarkey venue, the conference will serve as a forum for developers, designers, academics, planners and residents who are interested in the future of housing in San Diego and the vitality of our neighborhoods.
CV4 will explore creative planning and design solutions that will enhance San Diego’s urban vitality and economic growth, and provide opportunities for systematic increase of density through thoughtful, credible and purposeful design,” said Margit Whitlock AIA, Context Vol. 4 chairwoman and vice president of the San Diego Architectural Foundation.
Tickets for CV4 will go on sale March 30 with only 25 early bird tickets available to SDAF Members and 25 early bird tickets to Non-Members. Early bird special will end April 14.
