Oceanside CA— With the help of a very generous donor, San Diego Animal Advocates is now offering a reward in the amount of ten thousand dollars for information leading to arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for torturing two huskies recently in Oceanside (Case # 17006191). This doubles the original reward offer and it is hoped that this substantial increase may encourage someone to come forward with information.
The perpetrator of this attack on the dogs and home burglary is a serious danger to the entire community, as the link between animal abuse and other violent criminal behavior is indisputable. This was the third attack on the huskies, who had previously been poisoned and doused with acid while in an outdoor yard on prior occasions. It is believed that the same perpetrator is also responsible for repeated incidents of tire slashing on the dogs owners’ vehicle. The family was forced to move from their home for their animals’ and their own safety.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oceanside Police Department Tip Line at (760) 435-4730.
San Diego Animal Advocates is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization established in 1984, dedicated to the abolition of animal abuse, neglect and exploitation.
