Del Mar CA— On September 24th, 2017 the Girl Uplifters Team™ (G.U.T) will hold their first G.U.T GATHERING™ on the Del Mar Plaza deck top in Del Mar, CA. It is an event to support young girls, and their influencers, with Girls Uplifting Girls at an early age.
The G.U.T will kick off their mission to help young girls Find, Trust, and Love their Girl Uplifters Team at the event, where they – and their guardians – will use their body, mind, and voice to learn and practice ways to uplift themselves and others. Exercises include singing, music, breathing, yoga, and positive thinking. They will also learn about how being a part of a community can be uplifting, and will create the first portion of global fundraising art project that will eventually cover a football field.
Joining them will be a group of the G.U.T Ambassadors, all whom are influencers in their community and many on a larger scale through national and international stardom on television and the big screen. They were chosen as ambassadors because of their strong desire to be positive role models amongst their peers, and fans, as well as their joy in giving to others. Included in this group are Maya Le Clark from Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans, Miya Cech from the upcoming trilogy, The Darkest Minds, Scarlett Estevez, from Fox’s Lucifer and the Daddy’s Home films, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, from
NBC’s This is Us, and Raegan Revord, from the upcoming Big Bang Theory Spinoff, Young Sheldon.
The Girl Uplifters Team was created by Aimee Le Clark with the help of her two elementary aged daughters, Olivia (8) and Maya (6). Inspired by the desire to promote positivity and kindness, and having witnessed some challenging experiences between young girls, Aimee began talking with them about what can be done in hopes of getting the insight of the young mind. In just a matter of days, the G.U.T was created, and soon came the G.U.T Gathering.
“Our ambition is to support girls uplifting girls, everywhere, every day so that the “mean girl” becomes insignificant,” says Aimee, who is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing for over 15 years. “The Girl Uplifters Team Gathering is intended to plant the seeds to do that – so these young girls grow into teens uplifting teens, and women uplifting women.”
The G.U.T is also in the process of forming a charitable component: G.U.T GIVES, in which they will raise funds for specific events, groups, and scholarships for individuals and companies aligned with the G.U.T Values. One way that G.U.T GIVES is by donating a portion of their ticket sales to a charity. For this event, they have chosen Kids for Peace, a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides a platform for young people to actively engage in socially conscious leadership, community service, arts, environmental stewardship, and global friendship.
