Carlsbad CA— Carlsbad High School’s Dance Team Boosters are seeking sponsors and golfers, and are providing fabulous prizes at their 17th annual golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 16 at The Crossings at Carlsbad. Lucky participants could win:

• A golf getaway to Pebble Beach (airfare in a private jet, hotel and golf) and $10,000 cash for charity. The 3 teams with the best score in the tournament will be invited to play in the Randy Jones Invitational Semi Finals at the Woods Valley Golf Club in Valley Center in January. Entry fees will be paid for by Randy Jones and affiliates. The top teams in the Semi Finals tournament will then qualify to play in the 2-day Championship tournament in February at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, where they will compete to win a trip to Pebble Beach and cash for their charity.
• 5-Day Carnival Cruise for two to the Caribbean, Mexico or the Bahamas. Players will line up to putt and a guaranteed winner with the putt closest to the hole, will win. Package includes all meals and shipboard activities (airfare not included). Cruise departs from choice of Long Beach, Miami, Galveston or Port Canaveral.
• $1000 cash. Additionally, one lucky person will walk away with $1000 cash. Cash drawing raffle tickets may be purchased directly through the Dance Team Boosters at a cost of $20 each or 3 for $50. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be held during awards dinner, but winner need not be present.
• The event will also feature many on-course events including the longest drive and closest to the pin contest for men and women, and other unique contests, giveaways and entertainment, while golfers enjoy the course’s oceans views and waterfalls.

The tournament is a 4-person scramble, with registration starting at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon (lunch will be provided). After the tournament, the fun will continue with cocktails, complimentary buffet dinner, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and special performances by the Varsity Lancer Dancer and Junior Varsity Xcalibur dance teams.
According to tournament coordinator, “We still need sponsors and donated items for our silent auction and raffle. We also have room for a few more golfers. Our sponsors have a great opportunity here to increase their own business exposure as well as serve the community by supporting a local high school team of elite dancers.” Sponsors will receive prominent signage at the tournament, GPS ads in every golf cart, a commemorative plaque and link on the Lancer Dancer website.
For the past several years, the golf tournament, private donations and other fundraising efforts have generated the funds needed to send the Lancer Dancers to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the UDA National Championships. The Carlsbad High School Lancer Dancers hold 12 National Titles and aim to bring back a 13th this year.
Foursome entry fee of $600 includes green fees, golf cart with color GPS, range balls, baggage handling, lunch and awards buffet dinner. Prices will increase after Oct. 1.
