San Diego CA— USO San Diego’s 77th Annual Stars and Strips Gala: For Love of Country, will honor and support our active duty military personnel and help provide them with much-needed services. The event takes place Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina, 333 W. Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101.
Co-Chairs for the event include Arlene and Richard Esgate, Hélène and George Gould, Reena and Sam Horowitz, Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg, and Stephanie Brown. Mark Larson of KFMB AM radio will serve as emcee. The event guest speaker is nationally-recognized Marine Corps veteran Rob Jones. Entertainment includes two-time Tony Winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Joe Emerson, National Anthem Singer, Painter, and TV personality.

Jack McGrory, USO San Diego Gala Honoree, served as City Manager of the City of San Diego from March 1991 through August 1997. Overall, he worked for the City of San Diego for 23 years.
