Carlsbad CA— At the April 24th luncheon meeting, the Carlsbad Republican Women Federated (CRWF) club welcomes the Republican candidates running for the 76th Assembly District in the 2018 elections. Encompassing Camp Pendleton, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside and Vista, the 76th Assembly District seat is currently held by Republican Rocky Chavez, now running to replace Darrell Issa for the 49th U.S. Congressional seat.
Candidates participating in the 76th Assembly District forum include:
- Phil Graham – Businessman, Educator
- Thomas Krouse – Businessman, Entrepreneur
- Maureen “Mo” Muir – Encinitas School Board Member
- Amanda Rigby – Vista City council Member
- Jerome Stocks – Independent Business Owner
- Brian Wimmer – Information Management.
Carlsbad City Councilmember, Keith Blackburn, will moderate the forum. Elected to the Council in 2008, and reelected in 2012 and 2016, Keith Blackburn is a retired Carlsbad Police Officer and remains active as a Carlsbad Police Reserve Officer. He serves in several regional organizations including the Encina Wastewater Authority, SANDAG, and the North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority. As President of The Blackburn Foundation, he oversees the Blackburn family’s commitment to the community.
Carlsbad Republican Women Federated is an active force in local political campaigns and CRWF members are ramping up to assist candidates and the Republican Party of San Diego in this important election year. Members participate in many election activities, including voter education, voter registration, get-out-the-vote efforts, and candidate selection and support. 2018 is a must win year for Republicans and the Carlsbad Republican Women will help make it happen!
