San Diego CA— With all the activity going on around the San Diego Convention Center during San Diego Comic-Con International, a place to rest, rehydrate and recharge is a welcome sight. At the Lyft Lounge, located at Comic-Con Village (Embarcadero Marina Park South, 200 Marina Park Way, San Diego, CA 92101) directly behind the Convention Center, Comic-Con fans can do just that.
Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S., will treat Comic-Con fans to its outdoor oasis, featuring shaded seating and tables, free water, device charging stations, food trucks, games and more. Lyft Lounge is open Thursday, July 19 through Saturday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We wanted to bring the Lyft Lounge concept to San Diego, and Comic-Con International specifically, since we’ve seen its success at major events across the nation, such as SXSW and the Sundance Film Festival,” said Lyft San Diego Market Manager Hao Meng. “In addition to Lyft Lounge at Comic-Con, Lyft will provide water to thirsty attendees waiting in line for Hall H’s best programs of the year.”
Lyft Lounge will include a variety of lawn games and a photo booth, along with a rotating array of local food trucks, including Perky Beans for coffee lovers; Dang Brother Pizza, housed in a former fire truck; O Truck for fresh, organic meals; and more.
Media sponsor KFMB will be on-site with The CW San Diego, aka “San Diego’s Superhero Station,” CBS 8/ News 8 and radio station 100.7 KFM-BFM, playing music, giving away prizes and offering other superhero surprises.
