San Diego CA— Last week, USO San Diego held a ribbon cutting for its new 3,800 sq. ft. Headquarters Center at Liberty Station at 2790 Truxtun Road San Diego, CA 92106. The new facility is conveniently located within a one-mile walking radius to more than 900 military housing units.
The Center will house the organization’s executive team and programming staff. It becomes an integral part of the USO San Diego family, along with the award winning USO San Diego Neil Ash Airport Center, USO San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station and the newly-designated USO San Diego Downtown Distribution / Events Center, and Kitchen and Canteen. The new Center will provide impactful programming in the community, on military installations, and through numerous partnerships in the San Diego region serving active duty military personnel and their families.
The opening ceremony included special guest speakers: General George Casey, United States Army (Ret.), 36th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, Chairman, USO Board of Governors. Congressman Darrell Issa was also in attendance to receive the first USO San Diego American Legacy Award from USO San Diego for his continued support of the organization.
