Oceanside CA— Republican Club of Ocean Hills welcomes Diane Harkey, Republican Candidate for the 49th Congressional District, to the October 17th Meeting!
Join the Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) on Wednesday, October 17th, to welcome Diane Harkey, Republican candidate for the 49th Congressional District in California.
Ms. Harkey is running to replace Darrell Issa for this key congressional seat. The 49th is the top target of Democrats who are trying to “flip the 49th” in November! Harkey will discuss her congressional campaign and winning election strategy!
As Chair of the State Board of Equalization, Diane Harkey is the highest ranking Republican elected official in the State of California. Prior to becoming an elected official, she had a 30-year career in banking and finance. At 50, Harkey retired and chose to run for City Council in the City of Dana Point, where she also served as Mayor before becoming elected to the CA State Assembly in 2006. She served three terms in the Assembly before being elected to the State Board of Equalization in 2012.
Harkey’s key national issues include taxes, spending, national defense and veterans, immigration, the environment, and crime. On a local level, she strongly supports policies that ensure future improvements in water, power and transportation and public safety that will allow California to retain its place as one of the top-ranking economies in the world. Harkey is a tireless advocate for taxpayers, and is currently serving as a co-chair of Prop 6, the Repeal Gas Tax Initiative.
The Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) believes in Republican values: individual responsibility, personal freedoms, limited government, a market economy, low taxes, and a strong national defense. RCOH meets the third Wednesday of each month at the Broken Yolk Café, 2434 Vista Way, Oceanside CA. The Meet and Greet and lunch is from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., followed by the speakers. Lunch is $15 per person and covers any food item on the menu, a non-alcoholic drink, and taxes and tip. Cash or check only at the door (credit cards not accepted). Please RSVP by contacting Colleen at (760) 842-8735. Check us out on Facebook as Republican Club of Ocean Hills.
