San Marcos CA— We most cordially invite all to our Veterans Recognition and Honoring dinner. November will see us hosting probably our most favorite event of the year – our celebration and honoring dinner for our Veterans from all wars and countries. All veterans will be recognized, pictures of those in our families who have served will decorate the room, good stories and reminiscing will abound – and we are fortunate to have as our honored guest speaker, Juan M. Hidalgo, Jr. Sergeant Major United States Marine Corps (Retired).
Sergeant Major Hidalgo has an extremely extensive military resume beginning with his enlistment in the Marine Corps in 1984. He served in many different areas, in many different capacities with many promotions in rank. His service and dedication are evident in that Sergeant Major Hidalgo’s personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (fourth award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (fourth award and combat “V” device), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (third award), Army Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. Sergeant Major and his wife, Fran, reside in the heart of San Diego and they have three young adult children, Juan 3rd, Gabriel, and Alyssa Hidalgo.
