Fundraiser to benefit lifesaving Tri-City Medical Center’s Imaging Department and celebrate Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s 55th Anniversary
Oceanside CA— Prepare for a fun night of music and dancing when five-time Grammy-winning musician Michael McDonald headlines Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s 39th Annual Diamond Ball at the Park Hyatt Aviara on Sat., Nov. 16, in what is expected to be a sold-out event. The gala raises funds to bring state-of-the-art MRI screening technology to the Imaging Department at Tri-City Medical Center, a community hospital serving North San Diego County.
Michael McDonald is widely known for his distinctive, soulful voice as a member of the bands The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan.
“We are excitedly counting down the days to this year’s gala,” said Jennifer Paroly, president of Tri-City Hospital Foundation. “Michael McDonald is a Grammy award-winning musician and philanthropist, who is excited to help us raise funds to create the most advanced imaging center in North County.”
Tri-City Medical Center is developing the most advanced imaging center in North County with the purchase of the new MRI scanner. The state-of-the-art screening technology will detect more detailed images, leading to better health outcomes due to a quicker diagnosis and more accurate treatment.
“The new screening technology will greatly benefit our community by allowing our radiologists to more accurately identify lesions and anatomical structures that cannot be seen with a less powerful machine,” said Paroly. “The exam also will be done in a larger scan opening to reduce claustrophobia and allow freer breathing to make the MRI imaging as comfortable as possible.”
Tri-City Medical Center’s Director of Pathology and President of North Coast Pathology, Dr. Marcus Contardo will be honored with the 2019 Individual Legacy Award at the gala for his kindness and generosity to Tri-City Hospital Foundation and Tri-City Medical Center.
