Funds raised will support sex trafficking survivors in San Diego and new rehabilitation home and expansion into Colorado
San Diego CA— GenerateHope, a San Diego based non-profit that serves sex trafficking survivors by offering a real way out, announces its first ever virtual gala event on October 25th: “Hope for a Future” – a virtual benefit concert and fundraiser to celebrate survivor milestones and look forward to all that’s to come in the future.
“We look forward to our annual gala every year, and while so much has changed this year – the one thing that has not changed is the incredible need for services for survivors of sex trafficking,” said Annie Rodriguez, Executive Director of GenerateHope. “Our first ever virtual gala is a time of celebration and reflecting on the amazing things your partnership has accomplished and the comeback stories of the survivors in our program.”
The Oct. 25 event will include a virtual concert premier, featuring music performances by Phil Wickham and Jen Horning, and panels from experts and leaders in the field on the importance of combatting sex trafficking in the community and beyond. Viewers can also listen to the inspiring stories of women who have courageously overcome the unthinkable and are, with the help of GenerateHope staff, taking charge of their future. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP on Facebook.
“Now more than ever, we are committed to providing hope and healing to women leaving a life of exploitation,” added Susan Munsey, founder of GenerateHope.
Funds raised will go towards continuing the work at GenerateHope, expanding services to women who need hope and healing, as well as opening a new recovery home in Colorado, another community with a proven need for support.
GenerateHope is a faith-based non-profit providing long-term, comprehensive programs to women who have been sexually trafficked, so that they are able to reintegrate into society and walk powerfully into their futures.
