Carlsbad CA— TrueCare, formerly known as North County Health Services, a nonprofit health care provider for the underserved in North San Diego and South Riverside Counties, is raising money to provide a new Mobile Wellness Unit – as a way to reach people where they are – to provide mission-driven visits to reach patients in the nooks and cranny of the county. The mobile unit will help TrueCare deliver excellent care to the region’s most vulnerable patients. The fundraiser dollars will also help with COVID relief efforts – to recover funds that were lost and recoup costs for self-pay virtual visits.
Michelle Gonzalez, who assumed the role of President and CEO of TrueCare in April— just as COVID-19 began invading in earnest — added, “Our patients, many who come from lower-income, ethnically diverse backgrounds, deserve the best healthcare possible, wherever they are.”
“TrueCare’s commitment is to ensure access to quality healthcare and for improving the health of our local underserved communities,” said Dr. Marie Russell, TrueCare’s Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer (CMO/COO).
