San Diego CA— The International Wildlife Trafficking module of San Diego Diplomacy Council’s Global Leadership Youth Program is open for registration! This course, curated for globally-minded high school students, will engage with the complex global issue of wildlife trafficking through a diplomacy simulation, interactive negotiations, fascinating guest speakers and more.
This course takes place on Zoom from 4-6 p.m. PST on January 19, 21, 26 & 28, and costs $130. Guest speakers featured in the program will include Bobbi Brink, founder and director of Lions Tigers & Bears, a big cat and exotic animal rescue organization; Mike Veale, founder and president of the Global Conservation Force, an organization dedicated to fighting poaching and extinction; and Mau Hamada, founder of the Alexandria Turtle and Wildlife Rescue Team.
This virtual program is perfect for students looking to increase their cultural understanding while building their resumes and college applications. Upon completion, students will earn a Certificate of Excellence in Global Leadership. The San Diego Diplomacy Council is seeking 10 students to provide full-course positions scholarships to based on financial need. For more information, email [email protected].
