San Diego CA— The San Diego Workforce Partnership is excited to announce the appointment of Veronica Dela Rosa and Terry Kurtenbach to the Workforce Development Board (WDB). Dela Rosa is the Executive Vice President of Operations for San Ysidro Health and Kurtenbach is the Executive Director of Human Resources at the San Diego Convention Center Corporation (SDCC).
Their appointments are especially significant as it marks the first time in the organization’s 47-year history that the board is majority women.
Dela Rosa’s current responsibilities at San Ysidro Health include overseeing Clinic Operations, IT, Population Health and Performance Excellence, HR, Compliance and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Prior to San Ysidro Health, she has over 20 years of experience as a health care administrator for Kaiser Permanente where her oversight encompassed the medical group’s Primary Care Services Division focusing on quality, access and innovative health care delivery services to over 600,000+ patients.
Kurtenbach leads personnel programs for all human resources areas at SDCC, including labor relations, employee training, safety and workers compensation, employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations and organizational development. Her decades of experience led her to her current leadership position where she continues to enjoy helping employees identify their strengths and realize their full potential.
“Not only do Veronica and Terry bring unique professional expertise but their willingness to serve also marks a notable moment in our organization’s history, making our board majority women-led for the first time ever,” says Peter Callstrom, Workforce Partnership CEO. “With their backgrounds in healthcare and human resources, their work aligns with our sector initiatives and placing job seekers in high-demand jobs that earn a livable wage. We can’t wait to do great work together.”
