Vista CA— The Assistance League of North County’s Working Professionals are holding their annual summer fundraiser, a Beer Fest on Wednesday, August 18^th, 6:00-8:00 pm at Five Suits Brewing located 2575 Pioneer Ave. Suite 104, Vista.
Over 20 different homemade brewed beers, created by the Society of Barley Engineers of San Diego County, will be available for tasting with a $10.00 donation at the door. All monies earned will go to support the ALNC’s eleven Operation School Bell Programs and Scholarships.

This year the organization gave out $50,000 dollars in scholarships, over 17,000 books to individual students, over 700 pairs of shoes, socks and health kits, a Kohl’s and J.C. Penney’s Shopping trips, school uniforms, coats, blankets and school supply kits for students in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista and Camp Pendleton.
Members of the Working Professional Group met together at Nancy Bordier and her husband Jim, a master brewer for over 20 years, home to decide on what type of beer they would create, they named their brew Wild Ride. Marie Durie, chairperson of the event, said, “Not only will there be some great beers to taste, there will also be potluck food, unique opportunity tickets for some fantastic themed baskets and everyone will have a chance to vote for their favorite beer.”
