San Diego CA— Promises2Kids, a local nonprofit celebrating its 40^th anniversary of creating a brighter future for foster children®, raised $1.4 million at its 12^th annual Dream On Concert Gala, presented by Kevin and Raegan Prior. The event took place on September 13, 2021 at the Foxhill Estate of Papa Doug Manchester in La Jolla. Other major sponsors included Southwest Airlines – Promises2Kids’ Official Airline, Manchester Financial Group, Jolene Perry, Chef Jeffrey’s Food Scouts and Ranch & Coast Magazine.
Each year, San Diego community members come together for a night of entertainment and fundraising, benefiting 3,000 current and former foster youth in San Diego County. This year’s event was attended by nearly 500 philanthropists, community, and business leaders.
The Dream On Concert Gala was co-chaired by Lisa Corbosiero, Vivianne Villanueva Dhupa, Deborah Marengo, Jolene Perry and Joan Waitt. Guests were treated to an evening of incredible entertainment featuring Belinda Carlisle, acclaimed solo recording artist and former lead singer of the Go-Go’s. Executive Chef and Owner Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille prepared a special menu for the evening.
The sold-out event raised critical funds benefiting San Diego foster youth of all ages. From the moment they come into foster care and through to adulthood, Promises2Kids provides the hope, support, and opportunities these special individuals need to change their lives for the better.
