Oceanside CA— On Wednesday, November 17th, the Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) welcomes keynote speaker, John Franklin, candidate for Mayor of Vista. Having served on the Vista City Council since 2014, Franklin has extensive experience in Vista, and is a respected leader among city residents. He believes in fiscally responsible government and is a strong advocate for public safety and a business-friendly environment. During his tenure on the Vista City Council, Franklin was twice elected as Deputy Mayor by a majority of the Council. Currently, Franklin represents the City of Vista as a member of the Board of Directors of the North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority, which operates the 911 dispatch center serving a majority of North County residents. He also serves on the Vista Irrigation District Board, the Encina Wastewater Authority (representing the City Council and the Buena Sanitation District), and the City Investment Advisory Committee.
A graduate of The American University in Washington, D.C., Franklin served nearly a decade as a congressional policy advisor before opening his own small business in Vista. John and his wife Shanna are residents of Shadowridge in Vista.
The Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) believes in Republican values: individual responsibility, personal freedoms, limited government, a market economy, low taxes, and a strong national defense.
