San Diego CA— The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will begin accepting applications for licensed bail bond agencies to be placed on the newly created San Diego County Sheriff’s Department – Bail Agency List. Applications will be accepted for a period of 30 days, beginning February 8, 2022 through March 10, 2022. The list will be compiled and published by April 2022.
After this initial application period, all bail bond agencies will be required to apply annually to be placed on the list. The submission process will open annually for a period of 30 days beginning, November 1, 2022. To submit a request, click here.
Requests must contain the following information:
- Bail Bond Agency name/Doing Business As (DBA) – Multiple DBA’s may be listed in a single request
- License number and expiration date
- Complete address and phone number for each agency to be listed
- Name, phone number and email of contact agent
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department – Bail Agency List will be listed in alphabetical order by Bail Bond Agency Name/DBA and will include county, city, and telephone number information. The list will be posted in our county detention facilities and will also be available on the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department – Jail Information website. Bail bonds must still be delivered in-person to any custody information office located at any San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Detention Facility.
