Councilman Christopher Rodriquez is now being investigated by a state agency concerned with fair political practices.
Christopher Rodriguez, in his role as the freshman City Council representative for the N/E voting District 2 (D2) of Oceanside, has been formally advised that he is being investigated by the FPPC concerning his approval of the zoning change for the farmlands in D2.
His failure to recuse himself from this vote is alleged to be an inappropriate contribution to the majority City Council decision (3 voted for/2 voted against).That incredibly bad decision to green light the Integral Developers company and their North River Farms (NRF) plan.
Mr. Rodriquez vote in favor of the NRF project has created a serious Conflict of Interest issue for him. Now we must recall Christopher Rodriquez, for he is not a good representative of the people or the planet. His hardheaded position on the matter of NRF is not a well thought out decision for a freshman Council member. It smacks of arrogance and cupidity. This freshman council member for D2 acts as if he is the messiah of O’side.
As if now suddenly arrived here, he is come to save us from ourselves because he knows better than the voters, better than the city staff, and better than the two council members who voted against NRF. This is a bad joke on the electorate by council members Rodriquez, Feller and Weiss. I predict they will all loose their city management jobs. THE TIDE ALWAYS TURNS. It is time to drain the swamp folks.
This is a small city of many soulful and talented people. “The O’side Vibe” remains alive and well ….for now. You can see it everywhere, on the beaches, in the harbor, in the many small businesses downtown, in the neighborhoods and people on the streets. We must have leadership equally soulful as the population, not the often seen in big cities “like it or lump it” impersonal type of hard head “business as usual” leadership we now have.
DO NOT ALLOW THIS CITY COUNCIL TO DESTROY “THE O’SIDE VIBE” MY FRIENDS…..DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TURN O’SIDE INTO “ORANGE COUNTY SOUTH”.
A petition to have a special election to overturn the City Council decision to rezone the N/E farmlands is now making the rounds within the city. It is an effort to mass sign up registered voters for approval to go ahead with that vote.They need 12,000 valid signatures of registered O’side voters by December 20 to make it happen.
SIGN UP FOLKS, TAKE YOUR CITY BACK FROM THE INTEGRAL COMMUNITIES DEVELOPER !!. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD FOR THE GOOD OF US ALL !!
VOTERS BEWARE……THERE ARE SHILLS OUT THERE WITH COMPETING UNFAIR AND BIASED PETITIONS……..DO NOT SIGN THEM !!!
They are attempting to confuse and cloud the real truth of the matter to defeat this honest effort. They are working on behalf of the developer, not a good thing for We the People of O’side.
To City Councilman Rodriquez……..Not so good on-ya dude. Resign while you still can, or be investigated by the state Fair Political Practices Commission, AND be recalled from office by the voters of your own district. For you do not serve them well !!
