Oceanside CA— The essential relationship between human connection and maintaining sobriety is well documented in the research literature and widely promoted in treatment and 12 step programs. What is rarely discussed is how human connection actually works, and why the mere thought of something that is supposed to heal can feel at best counterintuitive, and at worst, downright excruciating. This three part lecture series, at the Oceanside Library, is designed to answer that mystery for anyone who has been baffled by their own social behavior.
Please join the larger community on October 9, 2016, 5:30-8:00pm in the Oceanside Public Library Community Room, 330 N. Coast Highway, for an in depth presentation of the interpersonal neurobiology of connection, the essential role of boundaries in the process of change, and specific ways to incorporate the material into your already existing program of recovery.
Andrea Paras, MA is a graduate of the Naropa University Transpersonal Counseling Psychology program.
