Watercolor–Beginning & Again
All experience levels welcome, especially the enthusiastic beginner! Explore the process of creative picture making in watercolor. Fee: $125. Location: MiraCosta College’s San Elijo Campus, Room 206, 3333 Manchester Avenue, Cardiff. Time: Saturdays, 10/15–12/10, 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Beg. Adobe Photoshop Workshop
With the CS6 Photoshop version, learn how to use the computer to change and edit your photos. Crop, select, transform a photo, and add filters with text. Learn the basics of the tools, painting, layers and masks to add special effects to photographs and other images. Fee: $69. Location: San Elijo Campus, Room 112. Time: Saturdays, 10/8–10/15, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
Smooth Ballroom Dance
The focus for this course will be on ballroom and foxtrot. We will work on lead and follow, proper form and some exquisite steps. Fee: $84. Location: La Costa Canyon High School, Dance Room, 1 Maverick Way, Carlsbad. Time: Thursdays, 10/6–11/17, 7–7:55 p.m.
Latin Partner Dance Class
The focus for this course will be on the spicy salsa and energetic mambo. Learn how to lead and follow, count the music and feel confident with fun and spicy patterns and steps. Fee: $84. Location: Fletcher Cove, Community Room, 133 Pacific Ave, Solana Beach. Time: Wednesdays, 10/5–11/16, 6–6:55 p.m.
Cooking Healthy Fast Food Meals for Busy People
This class will show you how to make fast, easy and healthy food. Plan ahead, shop smart and get on track with easy-to-follow recipes and delicious foods. Fee: $49. Location: San Elijo Campus, Room 406. Time: Tuesday, 10/4, 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Therapeutic Massage for Couples—Health & Wellness
Therapeutic Massage for Couples teaches a professional, quick 10, 15 or 20-minute quality massage session designed to reduce stress, and some common ailments such as headaches, low back issues or tired achy feet. Fee: $80 per couple. Location: San Elijo Campus, Room 204. Time: Saturday, 10/8, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
