Oceanside CA— The English Language Institute (ELI) offers international students the opportunity to increase their English language proficiency and develop the skills needed for success in a college or university in the United States. This intensive English-as-a-second language program provides individualized instruction in small class sizes. The program is designed for students with a minimum of one year of English language training at the high school or college level. This class may not be appropriate for advanced ESL students or students with a TOEFL score greater than 500 paper-based or 46 IBT. Students must be at least 18 years old or meet our minor policy requirements. Our International Student Office will issue I-20s. We accept students with F1, B1 and M1 Visa.
Topics covered will also include TOEFL preparation and the study of U.S. culture.
MiraCosta College is now accepting applications for the fall 2017 session (October 16–December 8, 2017) and the spring 2018 session (January 22–March 16). Students attend class 20 hours per week. I-20s and home-stay options are available.
The fee for the course is $1,895 and includes instruction, application fee, books, and student services. Health insurance is an optional fee of $350. Students must purchase our insurance plan or purchase their own insurance plan that meets our requirements. Fees subject to change.
