La Jolla CA— The Salk Institute of Biological Studies in La Jolla and March of Dimes will be transitioning their annual weekend High School Science Day to “Virtual High School Science Week” this year. This event will take place from February 22nd to February 26th. This event will feature interactive webinars, and the guiding theme will be, “Where Cures Begin,” to highlight the importance of basic research in scientific discoveries.
These webinars will give students a glimpse of a day in the life of scientists and provide students with an opportunity to interact with Salk researchers. Rather than strictly teaching content, the interactive webinar will embrace students’ curiosity by letting their questions dictate the discussion. The event will emphasize both the process of science and the people behind it.
