San Diego CA— On February 14, couples can celebrate Valentine’s Day by recreating a three-course brunch meal in their homes, taught through a virtual livestream by professional chef, Christina Ng of Chinita’s Pies and Berry Good Food. The live class, facilitated by Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center, will be interactive for participants to celebrate, ask questions, and engage with Chef Christina.
Participants will have the option to purchase an ingredient kit with the items needed to create the meals. The ingredient kit includes produce grown from Olivewood Gardens and the ingredients for a garden-inspired cocktail (no alcohol included), and a printed menu. The optional ingredient kit must be purchased by February 10 and will be available for pick-up at Olivewood Gardens on February 12 and 13.
Additionally, couples feeling extra romantic can elevate their Valentine’s Day experience by purchasing the optional ambiance bundle and/or an Olivewood apron. This bundle will include:
- Kitchenista-made Mexican blanket
- Kitchenista-made Valentine’s Day card
- Foraged bouquet made from the herbs, greenery, and flowers at Olivewood Gardens
- Kail Girl Kreation Candle
Ongoing impacts of COVID-19 will prevent people from eating out and celebrating the holiday. In response, Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center is hosting this livestream to keep community members engaged with festive, healthy, and safe activities this Valentine’s Day. Proceeds from the event will support Olivewood’s health equity, food access, and community building programs.
