Oceanside CA- An elderly driver hit the accelerator instead of the brake and drove her BMW into the Country Club Salon located at 2216 El Camino Real, Suite 101 on Friday Morning. The incident happened a little after 9:00am with three people injured and transported to local hospitals, two to Tri- City and one to Scripps, La Jolla Trauma Center.
Emma Muir, of Oceanside who was having her hair done at the time, said “I thought we were having an earthquake. There was glass and chairs flying everywhere.” Eleanor Bender of Carlsbad, said she was still shaken but grateful nobody was killed in the accident.
Thirteen people were in the shop at the time of the incident and the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
