Oceanside CA- An Oceanside Mobile Home was destroyed by fire and another damaged, Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters responded to the 911 call shortly after 3:00pm and found the home at 31 Ellen Ln, fully engulfed. The home was in the Mission View Manor Mobile Home Park near the corner of Douglas Drive and Mission Ave.
The owner of the home, Bob Powers said his wife, Shigeko, heard some popping noises coming from the laundry room, she went in, saw smoke and unplugged the washer and dryer then called 911. Both escaped the home, which was a total loss, uninjured. The Red Cross is providing relief for the couple.
