OPD Arrest Two at DUI Checkpoint Over the Weekend

Oceanside, CA – Oceanside Police released the results of a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint in Oceanside Friday night. They report 23 citations issued and two arrests made by the department’s Traffic Services Unit which conducted the checkpoint on Mission Avenue at Clementine Street between the hours of 9:20 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Officers contacted 330 drivers during the checkpoint, and arrested two drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol. Other drivers were determined to be currently unlicensed and three more drivers had suspended drivers’ licenses. More information can be found on the City of Oceanside website
