Update- All lanes are now open but traffic is backed up past Poinsettia.
Oceanside CA-The CHP has issued a SIG Alert for North-Bound I -5 due to an accident involving a big rig and an SUV. There are screws and nails among other debris covering all lanes of the freeway. Drivers are advised to take El Camino Real or the road along the coast at Poinsettia to get to Oceanside and points north. The incident is affecting South I-5 so plan on needing extra time when heading to San Diego.
