Oceanside CA – Oceanside Police released the results of a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint in Oceanside Friday night, August 30, 2013. The check point was set up on the Coast Highway, south of Eaton St between the hours of 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Officers contacted 318 drivers during the checkpoint. Three drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Eight other drivers were determined to be currently unlicensed. A total of 18 citations were issued.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided to Oceanside Police Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
