Oceanside CA- The City of Oceanside will be holding a City Council workshop on the proposed 2014 water rate, pass-through charges, and wastewater maximum rate increases on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, on the second floor of the Civic Center North building, 300 North Coast Highway, in Oceanside.
Information on the proposed water and wastewater rates, including a comparison of current and proposed rates, are available on the City of Oceanside website at https://webadmin.ci.oceanside.ca.us/gov/water/admin/rates.asp. Printed copies are available at the Water Utilities counter in City Hall South, the Oceanside Public Library, and the City Clerk’s office on the second floor of City Hall North.
Community members who have questions regarding their bill and how the proposed rate changes will apply to them may call the City of Oceanside Utility Billing Division at (760) 435-3900. Questions regarding the proposed rate structure and how it differs from the current billing rate structure should be directed to the Water Utilities office at (760) 435-5800.
A public hearing to address the proposed rate changes will be held on November 6, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. in the Oceanside City Council Chambers. Public comments are welcome, and signed protests by Oceanside rate payers are being accepted now and through the close of the public hearing on November 6, 2013.
