Sheriff’s Office Releases Sketch of Home Invasion Suspect

Crime Stoppers--San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Vista Station are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion.
Detectives said that on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at about 2:00 a.m., an unknown Hispanic man approached a woman from behind as she opened her apartment door, which is located near the 1400 block of Bonair Road in Vista. The suspect held what the victim believed to be a gun to her head and forced her inside the apartment. Once inside, he forced her to the kitchen where he attempted to blindfold her.
A short time later, a struggle ensued inside the residence allowing the victim to gain control of the situation. The suspect subsequently fled from the scene in an unknown direction of travel or mode of transportation.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20‐24 years old, 5’8” – 6’0” tall, weighing 130‐140 lbs. He has a clean‐shaven appearance, with short, combed back, black hair, brown eyes, thin build, and a medium brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
