Oceanside CA- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 20 year-old autistic man, Joseph Swett.
Swett came to Santee with his mother and brother from Los Angeles to attend a Christian college for two weeks. Shortly after 3:00 p.m., on March 17, 2014, his mother and brother left the motel room in the 10700 block of Woodside Avenue in Santee, to get lunch. Mr. Swett remained in the motel room to take a nap. When his mother and brother returned, Mr. Swett was gone and they have not heard from Swett and were unable to contact him. Swett’s family is very concerned about his unexplained disappearance. Swett has been diagnosed with autism.
Anyone with information on Swett’s whereabouts is asked to contact the San Diego Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
DESCRIPTION: Swett is a White male with brown short hair, brown eyes and unshaven. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a bright orange shirt, red shorts and black shoes.
