Oceanside CA- The Oceanside Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1400 block of Olive Street on April 8th.
On April 8th at approximately 8:02 P.M. Oceanside Police responded to a 9-1-1 call of shots fired in the area of 1400 Olive Street. Officers arrived and located an adult Hispanic male victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Oceanside Fire responded to the scene to provide life saving measures and transported the victim to an area hospital. The 25 year old victim died as a result of his injuries. The victim’s identity is not being released until family members have been notified.
A follow-up investigation conducted at the scene by officers and investigators revealed the homicide may be gang related, but solid evidence has not been established to positively indicate a motive. Investigators are conducting additional detailed follow-ups to verify all information.
