Oceanside CA- After a woman was a bitten by a snake in Balboa Park over the weekend and the forecast of warmer days ahead, the County has issued a reminder that the snakes are coming.
The warmer days bring rattlesnakes out of their winter shelters which may be around homes and businesses. If you spot a rattler, The County of San Diego is urging residents to call the Department of Animal Services to handle these venomous reptiles.
If you spot a snake, call (619) 236-2341.
The County has released a short video on what do do if you encounter a snake.
The woman bitten in Balboa park was transported to a local hospital but officials don’t believe she was bitten by a rattler.
At least the snakes in the US don’t fly.
