Vista CA- Between the middle of February 2014 and the middle of April 2014, a series of vehicle burglaries occurred in a variety of locations in Vista. The locations included both residential areas and commercial areas near the downtown area of Vista.
The property loss included the actual tires from vehicles, some stereo equipment and lawn care equipment. Information was developed by Vista Station detectives in conjunction with other station resources and several persons of interest were identified.
As a result of this combined effort, suspect Edgar Martinez, age 24, was arrested by the San Diego County Regional Fugitive Task Force on April 22, 2014. Martinez was on probation at the time of his arrest. His residence was searched on two separate occasions, however, no stolen property was recovered.
Martinez was booked at the Vista Detention Facility and charged with three counts of vehicle burglary, three counts of conspiracy and his outstanding warrants that included resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license, hit and run and possession of a controlled substance.
