Oceanside CA- On May 29, 2014, Oceanside Police officers conducted a fourth waiver (probation) check at a residence in the 5100 block of Barry Street. The officers were conducting a follow up investigation related to a series of graffiti/vandalism incidents. During a search of the residence, officers noticed items in the juvenile’s bedroom, which were consistent with the juvenile being the suspected tagger.
Officers had been tracking the vandalism done by this specific tagger for over a year. Officers arrested the juvenile and transported him to the Oceanside Police Department. At the conclusion of the interview, the juvenile admitted to doing over $18,000 in tagging throughout the City of Oceanside. The subject was booked into juvenile hall for felony vandalism.
