San Diego County CA– The Sheriff’s Analysis Driven Law Enforcement Team is currently working with the Escondido Police Department and San Marcos Sheriff’s Station to combat crime trends that are affecting both cities – residential burglaries, auto theft and vehicle burglaries.
Information Led Policing concepts are being deployed to target known and prolific offenders across jurisdictional boundaries. Analysis led to the identification of an apartment complex at 485 North Citrus Avenue in the city of Escondido. A probation compliance check was conducted following an arrest of one of the identified targets who had three felony warrants. An additional seven subjects were arrested by Escondido Police and Sheriff’s deputies for offenses that include drug possession, burglary tool possession, possession of stolen property, possession of stolen checks, possession of stolen credit cards and identification cards, under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Four of the subjects were also arrested on felony warrants by the US Marshal’s Office. An additional female was arrested for a felony warrant in an associated apartment unit. Stolen property belonging to at least six victims has been recovered from the scene. The victims reside in Escondido, San Marcos, and Vista. There are also potential victims in the city of San Diego. The investigation is continuing.
