Oceanside CA– With a new permit instituted last year, it can be challenging to understand and follow the guidelines. San Diego Coastkeeper invites homeowners, businesses and property managers of San Diego for an early morning coffee chat with experts, who will demystify the City’s new stormwater regulations. Participants will earn the basics of the current and upcoming changes to stormwater regulations and discuss best management practices for a property or business.
The Tuesday morning public forum is aimed at business and property owners who need to comply with new permits. Coastkeeper will provide reference materials and resources to help participants comply with regulations and avoid potential fines. Speakers at the forum include:

• Ruth Kolb is the program manager for the policy & enforcement section of the City of San Diego’s Transportation & Storm Water Department. Kolb has 30 years of experience in the environmental field and currently oversees storm water enforcement activities and policy development.
• Andre Sonksen is the program manager for the monitoring & inspections section of the City of San Diego’s Transportation & Storm Water Department. He oversees commercial and industrial inspections and water quality monitoring.
• Matt O’Malley is the Waterkeeper and legal & policy director for San Diego Coastkeeper. He has been involved in municipal and industrial stormwater regulation and enforcement for the past eight years in Florida and California
