San Marcos CA– On Saturday, July 12, 2014 at approximately 12:05 pm, a male driving a gold Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling eastbound on Borden Rd. A female driver was driving a white Honda Civic southbound on Woodward St. A third vehicle involved, a white Chevrolet S10 pickup was stopped in the northbound left turn lane of Woodward St.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cobalt entered the intersection when the front of the Honda Civic collided with the left front tire of the Cobalt. The force of the collision caused the Cobalt to be redirected in a southerly direction, where it collided with the front of the pickup.
Drivers from the Cobalt and Honda Civic along with, the passenger from the Cobalt were transported to Palomar Medical Center by San Marcos Fire Department Paramedics. The driver of the Cobalt was admitted to Palomar Medical Center for his injuries and all other parties were later released. None of the injuries sustained in the collision are life threatening. Alcohol is not a factor in this accident.
The accident investigation is being conducted by the San Marcos Traffic Unit and is on-going.
