UPDATE: One of the three pedestrians injured in an early morning accident on July 19th, in Carlsbad, has died.
The decedent, Teceia J Roper, was a single, 29-year-old, female. Tecia died of blunt force trauma with non survivable head injuries after being airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital – La Jolla.

Carlsbad CA– Three pedestrians were injured early Saturday morning, July 19, 2014 at 12:46 am in Carlsbad. The City of Carlsbad Police Department responded to the 3200 block of Carlsbad Boulevard regarding three pedestrians that were struck by a vehicle.
When Officers arrived, they located three pedestrians in the north bound lanes of Carlsbad Boulevard north of Walnut Avenue who suffered various injuries.Two of the pedestrians were transported by ambulance, and one by helicopter, to local hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The injured were reported as two 29-year-old females and one 31-year-old male.
The 49-year-old female driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrians remained at the scene of the collision.
Carlsbad and Oceanside Fire Departments responded to the scene to treat the injured pedestrians. The Carlsbad Police Department’s Traffic Division is conducting an investigation into the collision. No arrest was made and fault has yet to be determined.
