Oceanside CA– A string of Summer rain showers, some heavy, traveled through the North County early Wednesday morning bringing, thunder and lightning to the region. The cells, traveling rapidly through the area had the strongest concentration of rain and lightning in the Camp Pendleton area, north of Oceanside up through the Temecula Valley. The system is moving north-east from San Clemente Island through Riverside with Las Vegas catching some showers activity.
A Flood Advisory has been issued, effective until 6:15 this morning. An additional one-tenth to one-quarter inch of rain is possible with showers diminishing after 6:00 a.m.
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms remains for Wednesday with clouds breaking away, gradually, becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
The 20 percent chance of thunder showers remains through Thursday morning.
