Poway CA– On September 6, 2014 at approximately 10:10 P.M., deputies received a call from Home Depot employees regarding a theft which had just occurred. A male suspect took tools out of the store in a baby stroller and met another suspect in a vehicle.
The suspect obtained a flammable substance in a spray can and began utilizing a lighter to ignite the spray at employees. The suspect got into a vehicle occupied by a female and fled the parking lot with the stolen property.
Deputies observed the vehicle leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop on the driver. Arrested were Ignacio Brambila, 37, and his wife, Sarrah, 34. In the vehicle with the two was their 18 month old child. Located in the trunk of the vehicle were the stolen tools from Home Depot.
Both subjects were taken back to the Poway Station for questioning and then booked into jail. They are being charged with Robbery, Conspiracy, Child Cruelty and Assault with the Intent to Commit a Felony. Ignacio was also arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail has been set at $100,000 and they are scheduled to be arraigned on September 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
The 18 month old child and twin 12 year old boys from their residence in Lakeside were taken into protective custody.
