Oceanside CA— Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 7:35 p.m. several callers reported a fight on Pier View Way at Tremont St. Witnesses told officers there had been a fight involving three people, one of whom had been stabbed.
A four year-old child in the crowd was knocked down by the participants. The suspects fled the area. Officers found the victim, Ryan Miller (no other information available on the victim at this time) in front of the Firewater Saloon at 406 Pier View bleeding profusely from a wound on the right forearm.
Oceanside Fire Department personnel responded and performed first aid on Miller. The victim was transported to the Naval Hospital aboard Camp Pendleton.
Officers in the area later observed several persons, including two who matched the assault with a deadly weapon suspects’ description, enter the Qwik Corner Market at 102 N. Coast Hwy. The officers detained the group and one suspect was arrested after a curbside lineup. Christian Faamaliga (DOB: 03-27-96) was identified and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Miller sustained a laceration to his right forearm. The four year-old juvenile sustained abrasions on his forehead.
