Fallbrook CA— On Sunday December 21, 2014, just before midnight, Sheriff’s Patrol units from the Fallbrook Substation responded to a commercial burglary in progress at the US Auto Market car dealership on S. Mission Road.
Upon their arrival two suspects were seen running from the building. A foot chase ensued and one of the two suspects was taken into custody, the second suspect was able to evade capture.
The scene was secured and the investigation commenced revealing that the suspects had forced entry into the dealership’s business office. Evidence at the scene showed that the suspects had moved a safe from the main office into the lobby near the main door but no further. The safe was not breached and it appeared there ultimately was no loss from the business.
The person arrested has been identified as nineteen year old Fallbrook resident Raul Eduardo Rios. Fallbrook detectives are following up leads as to the identity of the other suspect involved in the case.
