Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Police Department is building on the success of the first ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event and holding a second one on Tuesday December 16, 2014.
The second Coffee with a Cop will take place at the McDonald’s Restaurant located 4151 Oceanside Blvd from 8:00-10:00 am. There is no agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.
The first ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event was held November 17, 2014 at Coco’s Restaurant on Mission Avenue. About a dozen representatives from the department, including Oceanside Police Chief, Frank McCoy, were on hand, at that event, to chat with members of the community. “We have motor-officers to answer questions about traffic. A detective to answer questions about how investigations work and beat officers who can gather information about citizens concerns and pass that information along to other shifts and the officers working that beat.” explained Oceanside Police Lieutenant, Leonard Cosby.
